Our final Site Visit of 2024 was to The Beehive Play Learn and Grow, Rathkeale. The full-day crèche is a designated Equal Start Service and advocates for inclusion and participation from all members of the community. Méabh and the team place a strong emphasis on inclusion, play, and creating spaces that are not only functional but also aesthetically inviting for everyone – children, parents, and staff alike. Méabh also talked us through the service’s roll-out of Early Talk Boost, a targeted speech and language intervention programme designed for children aged 3 to 4 who are showing signs of delayed speech and language development.
This was an evening of sharing practice and supporting quality, and we thank all those who attended.
