Limerick Childcare Committee has just completed it’s 12th Child Protection and Welfare Training for 2015. This brings the total number of staff trained in Limerick to 353, since the introduction of the new programme in Jan 2014. The training which is delivered under the National Early Years Children First Committee, is accredited by Tusla and is available to all Early Years Practitioners including Childminders. The standardised programme looks at what constitutes child abuse, roles and responsibilities in reporting child protection and welfare concerns, child protection policy and safe work practices.
Limerick Childcare Committee will run a 2 more programmes in the autumn and these will be advertised directly to Early Years Services.
